The Power Tailgate Motor (PTGM) controls two spindle drive motors to open and close the tailgate. It receives signals from the driver's console switch, tailgate inside switch and wireless remote key(FOB) to operate the spindle motors.
The PTGM also monitors the closure angle of the tailgate by counting pulses from hall sensors. If the signal count from the hall sensor is not at least half-lock, PTGM will stop the spindle motor operation.
